I think this is why, for me, its been reserved solely for festive. When I wear red in December, I say merry and bright I say rosy and filled with cheer. December is the scarlet safe-zone. Come January, I will have have to wrestle the colour into line and make it work for what I want to say about myself, not what it says on my behalf
